​​My commitment to you stems from years of dedicated service to our community, built on a foundation of knowledge, understanding, and experience necessary to lead San Antonio. My eight years on the City Council—serving on numerous critical committees, community boards, and commissions, and collaborating with various private, public, and non-profit organizations—have equipped me to make meaningful contributions from Day One.

 

My career has been devoted to serving and enhancing our community. It began with my military service in the U.S. Air Force. Later, I dedicated myself to supporting children at St. Peter's and St. Joseph's Children's Home. I continued my education at St. Mary's University and completed my bachelor's degree at UTSA.

 

Driven by a passion for education, I spent 25 years as a schoolteacher in San Antonio, shaping young minds and contributing to our city's future. Elected to the Alamo Community College District Board, I played a pivotal role in the creation of Palo Alto College.

 

My dedication to public service led me to run for District 9 Councilman, a position I have been honored to win four times. As your Councilman, I have tirelessly worked to address the needs of my district and improve the quality of life for all San Antonio residents.

A Councilmember for one District is a Councilmember for the entire community.
